Pinterest: Who Is Using Pinterest?

Are you wondering if the newest social media platform, Pinterest, is for your retail operation?

Well, the folks at modea worked through the numbers and created an infographic that gives you a pretty good idea of what is going on with Pinterest.

The bottom line: If you’re crafting a brand image (and you should be), then Pinterest allows your users to become curators of content and to do so very easily. Females (68% of users) and those with money ($100K plus) are using Pinterest. You don’t have to be a Nordies, or a Whole Foods to capitalize on this new upstart. Any apparel retailer can tap into the popularity of Pinterest and receive a lot of referral traffic back to its website.

Take a look and spend a little time checking it out. Then let us know if you think Pinterest is for you in the comments section below.

  2. Thanks! Pinterest is fun, but I’ve been trying to figure out if it’s worthwhile for my business. Looks like I should continue with it. Thanks for the stats!

I checked out your website and with your graphics and merchandise, I think Pinterest may be an ideal channel for your products. Just be certain to include a price tag to your pins of t-shirts, etc.

With Halloween on its way, it may be the perfect time to test out Pinterest. Let me know how it goes for you.
