Shakespeare believed timing is everything and so should you, particularly when it comes to social media.

When you get your timing right, good things begin to happen.

  • More people see your updates, posts and tweets.
  • Which increases your chances that more will share, comment or like.
  • All of which, leads to more social engagement.

The trick is to KNOW when is the best time for YOUR social media audience, because all audiences are not created equal.

The infographic below gives you information on the ‘best’, ‘worst’ and ‘peak’ times to post on various social media platforms.  While you can use these times as a good guide, you can’t assume that these times are ideal for your audience.

Instead, you need to use some tools to really nail down the best times to engage for your audiences so you can tailor your social media efforts. Here are a few free tools to help you do just that.

Check out Timing+ for Google+.  It will analyze your historical data and suggest impactful times to share content.
