Wishing You a Very Happy Thanksgiving!
I’m posting this Thanksgiving Wish today, as most of you will probably be like me tomorrow. Busy making certain you have everything for the big dinner, perhaps getting a head start on a few dishes or chores.
This time of the year is special. At least, I find it to be. In many ways it is more enjoyable than Christmas or New Years. It is the holiday before the insanity.
This is the time of the year I want to stop the doing. I skip the Black Friday and avoid shopping centers at all costs.
Once the dinner is out of the way, I want to think, reflect and consider. I want to watch the trees lose their color and the clouds roar in.
Thanksgiving is a day for gratitude, for sharing our prosperity with one another, however little or much that may be. I don’t feel that I do enough of that during the year and this is the one time when I make a diligent effort to be grateful for all I have – my health, my family, my friends and all of the people who have touched me along the way.
I try to remember that the highest form of appreciation is not in words, but in our ability to live it. It takes practice.
My continued thanks for your attention. It is very much appreciated and I look forward to sharing more with you next week.
May you and yours have a very happy and joyous Thanksgiving!
